Tone

Malala-Yousafzai
Malala and her brother Khushal in Mingora.

This picture represents the comfortable tone in the beginning of the story.  In the whole first half of the story, Malala talked about her life at home not regarding the Taliban. She seemed happy to talk about her five person family and the way they lived.  She told the story of her parents and how they came to meet.  Also, she told of her and her siblings’ every day lives. It was interesting to see how different the life is of a Pakistani girl than an American girl.
